Recent Student Achievements

Spring 2010

Three University of New Mexico graduate students swept the Medieval Association of the Pacific's Founder's prizes for best papers by graduate students: Francesca Tuoni, Douglas Ryan VanBenthuysen, and Shelece Easterday.

 

UNM is hosting the 2010 Vagantes Conference. Marisa Sikes is serving as chair of the conference planning committee.

Spring 2009

Douglas Ryan VanBenthuysen's article "Seamus Heaney's Audio Beowulf, an Analysis of the Omissions" was published in Studies in Medievalism XVIII.

Fall 2008

Douglas Ryan VanBenthuysen won the travel award from the Institute for Medieval Studies for the 2009 International Congress of Medieval Studies conference in Kalamazoo.

Summer 2008

Lisa Myers attended the Medieval Studies Summer School at the University of Cambridge.

Spring 2008

Douglas Ryan VanBenthuysen won the first-year English teaching award for outstanding 101/102 sequence.
